Bird, tortoise, hedgehog: who to call.
Animal shelters mostly take in dogs and cats. For a bird, a reptile, a small pet or a wild animal, here is who to turn to. You can also post an alert on Animalerte, whatever the species.
An injured wild animal
Do not pick it up without advice, except a small bird or a hedgehog, and call first. The cantonal wildlife service answers during office hours; outside them, and for any road accident with a wild animal, call the police on 117.

A found rabbit, cage bird, ferret or tortoise is reported to the local municipality, like a dog or a cat (article 720a of the Civil Code), and to the STMZ.
